I bought this car back
in 2005 with big
plans. I started off
strong, stripping
everything
unnecessary from the
car and acquiring
parts to complete
it. To fulfill my
dreams of being more
involved in the Hot
Rod world, I moved
to Southern
California and had
to leave the 510
back home. I have
cleared my closets
of extra 510 parts
but will not sell
the body. As soon as
I have the room to
bring the car down
south, it will get
the attention it
deserves.
Here is what I have in
mind.
Body/Paint
Nothing too crazy
for body
modifications, just
a nice clean look
with shaved turn
signals, antenna,
and other
unnecessary items. I
will be custom
fitting early Camaro
bumpers to give it a
cleaner look. Like
most of my vehicles,
it will be some
shade of orange.
Headlights will be
replaced with
HELLA's lights with
incorporated turn
signal.
Interior/Stereo
Clean and simple,
custom aluminum dash
with a full set of
Autometer gauges. I
will be using Ford
Probe seats because
they are good
looking and
bolstered. The
stereo will be built
up with Kicker's
speakers, amplifier,
and subwoofer.
Engine
Power will come from
a supercharged
KA24DE motor
originally installed
in Nissan's 240SX.
 
Drivetrain
5-Speed Nissan trans
will back the KA
with a hydraulic
clutch setup. I am
undecided on what to
use for the rear
end, I will probably
stick with the
factory style
differential.
Brakes/Suspension
Wilwood brakes,
tubular control
arms, coilover
springs or possibly
Air Ride. I will be
building a full
tubular frame for
the car and have
already built the
cage.
    
Wheels/Tires
I would like to use
the same wheels that
are on the Camaro,
they are a classic
wheel that looks
good on everything.
