December 2006
I wasn't sure exactly
what to expect from
this class. I had heard
from others it is a
great way to hone your
current skills or gain
new ones all together.
I started with next to
no experience, I had
only bent sheet metal
with a brake
previously.
The class was 2 guys from Boyd Coddington's shop, a fireman
from Sacramento and I. I had by far the least experience of the group but the
way Lazze taught the class it didn't matter. The camera crew from American Hot
Rod : The Series was following the guys from Boyd's shop, it was very
interesting working with people filming! Watch for this 3min segment on the show
March 8th!
The panels below all started as flat pieces of metal and
between the English wheel, shrinker/stretcher and bead roller these amazing
shapes were created. It goes to show you that anyone with great instruction can
do this stuff, I never thought I could.
